Just Dance Ballroom's Absolute Beginner Ballroom Dance Program
Learn 9 Ballroom Dances
Want to get started in ballroom dance? Just Dance Ballroom’s Absolute Beginner Program is the place to start. The Absolute Beginner Program is designed start to students at the beginning (never having danced before) and and bring them up to an Intermediate level.
You will learn the basics of the waltz, foxtrot, tango, rumba, cha cha, samba, nightclub two-step, hustle and east coast swing.
You will become familiar with the most popular ballroom dances, many of which can be danced at wedding receptions, in clubs, and at many different types of dance parties.
The Progressive Series
The Progressive Series gives you an opportunity to learn a dance more in depth. Each month you can begin a new series in different dance. You will learn many dance figures and the character, styling. rhythm and technique of the dance. You will also learn how to lead or follow, to connect with your partner, to combine figures and to navigate the social dance floor. Each week builds on the previous week. The progressive series will give you a good foundation. We repeat the dances every few months with new routines you can learn at the beginner's level. If you are in one of our classes, you can also help vote on what dance we will teach the following month.
Drop Ins Welcome
You are always welcome to drop in during the month to any of our classes. If you have never danced before, we recommend that you come on the first of the month, when we cover each dance from the very beginning. Or you can come to Karen and Michael's Monday or Tuesday class any week of the month. We have two teachers on Monday and Tuesday and one of us can teach you the basics while the rest of the class continues learning as part of the progressive series with the other teacher.
A Supportive Learning Environment
We create a safe and supportive environment for you to learn and have fun in. The pace is just right and you will be there with others who are also learning for the first time.
Karen and Michael, directors of Just Dance Absolute Beginner Program, teach on Monday and Tuesdays. Citabria Phillips teaches on Thursdays
Repeat each series as often as you want, to review your basics or to support a friend you’ve brought along.

I didn’t really believe my husband could dance. But, after the first class with Karen and Michael, we were both dancing and
having fun. I can’t wait for the next class.

I like Karen & Michael so much, I have been bringing my friends and family with me too.
Karen and Michael can teach ANYONE to dance, because they don’t assume anything, and they explain
and demonstrate so clearly.
